Da Capo is a group of enthusiastic musicians with one specific thing in common; they all belonged to a folk group when they attended De Aston School, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, many moons ago!

All the folk groups were under the leadership of Jim Ward, a chemistry teacher at the school.

A retirement party for Jim in 1992 sowed the seed for a new group to be formed, named ’Da Capo’, a musical term meaning ‘back to the beginning’.

Over the years the line-up has changed, but the main aim of the group has stayed the same, to bring music and enjoyment to those we entertain.

We rehearse mainly at the Methodist church in Market Rasen and perform acoustically or amplified. We mainly sing at churches, village halls and parties but are available for any function.
